Located on the corner of two major highways in the middle of Carson City, Nevada, a full exterior renovation brings this financial institution up-to date and caters to a fresh demographic. OneStudio D+A, formerly MBA Architecture + Interior Design, helped to create a clean, contemporary aesthetic that better fit the design of Mutual of Omaha’s growing vision for their business model and facilities.

The existing building hovered darkly with a hat that flattened the volume. Through the use of contrasting materials, in both color and texture, the building is brightened up and becomes more inviting. The entrances were framed out and covered by awnings that make them more prominent. New landscaping complements the building, providing softness, color, and movement against the architectural background.
