OneStudio D+A was honored to work recently with Eddy House, a local organization committed to providing services for homeless and at-risk your in our community.

In 2023, Eddy House began construction on a 36-unit transitional living facility next door to their current facility. Eddy House acquired a third property, a residence built in the 1930s, adjacent to the other two properties. OneStudio D+A designed an interior remodel of the residential home that would transform it into staff offices to support the residences next door.

The remodel process prioritized the preservation of the home’s historical character and fine craftsman detailing. Existing built-ins, millwork, hardware, and light fixtures were salved and restored throughout.

The final design is a celebration of the home’s charming details, with selections that are durable and easy-to-maintain. Delicate patterned wallpaper selections were inspired by the home’s original floral patterned paper – complimented by bold coordinating paint colors. The finished product is a space that feels calm and warming, with nods to the property’s past.
